Dr. John Ferguson

Dr-John-FergusonDr. John Ferguson is a GP in Balbriggan, North County Dublin. After graduating in Medicine from UCD in 1998 he went on to complete the Trinity College Vocational Training Scheme in General Practice in 2001. Following this he worked as a GP Assistant in Skerries, Co. Dublin before co-founding the Bracken Clinic in Balbriggan in 2005. This is now a large multi-disciplinary Group Practice which has a strong emphasis on Community and Family Medicine.

John has a keen interest in mental health and It is through his work with families and in particular mothers and mothers-to-be that he has developed a strong relationship with Nurture. He has seen first-hand the effects of mental illness in women and the enormous pressure it can place on them and their families. He has also therefore first hand experience of the tireless work which Nurture do with these women providing them with support, encouragement and strength.

Aidan O’Connor
aocAidan O’Connor is a communications professional with over 20 years of marketing experience, working with a number of internationally affiliated advertising and marketing agencies in Dublin, before setting up his own business in 1992.

Over the course of his career, Aidan has provided sound marketing stewardship to a wide range of clients – from local SMEs and not-for-profit organisations to international brands – managing and delivering a myriad of communications projects and campaigns.

Aidan holds a BA (Hons) in Business and Strategic Management from the Irish Management Institute, as well as diplomas in Digital Communications and Media from the Digital Marketing Institute and in Advertising & Marketing from Dublin Institute of Technology.

Over the last 20 years Aidan has worked with a number of not-for-profit organisations, including as a director of Unicef Ireland for three years, and continues to do so as a director of O’Connor & Kelly Ltd.

Jane Sammon
Jane Sammon
Jane graduated from the College of Marketing & Design in 1991 with a BSc Management Science and a MA from Trinity College in 1993.  She worked in the Retail Industry for 10 years, as a Marketing Manager.  Jane took a brief sabbatical from working to look after her children and in 2008 returned to the workplace as a Volunteer Co-ordinator for the The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and also helped co-ordinate their extensive fostering programme which is still in place today. Jane’s main skill set is managing projects, co-ordinating people and putting in place efficiency programs.
