Mothers are more likely to suffer depression when their child is four years old than when a baby, according to a new study.

A study by Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Australia has found that a mother’s mental health is more likely to be in jeopardy several years after the birth of her first child. Researchers discovered maternal depression is more likely to strike when a woman’s first child reaches four years old than during the baby’s first year of life.
